Portrait on wood panel titled “Estrella”, of a stylized woman looking from behind a door with a Cuban city street behind her. This square piece is made of my original drawing and pages from the only newsprint I was able to find while visiting Cuba in 2023. It is layered with ink wash, watercolor and colored pencil. This is a rare piece because I don’t often show actual locations. Also rare because it was inspired by the last woman I saw on the streets of Havana as we boarded our bus to leave. She was beautiful and strong, just like my experience in Cuba. UV sealed. Framed in black stained poplar & ready to hang.
